Thomas Adam and Stephan Ziege...

It all began in 1990 in a 70 m² shed near Berlin, which had to serve as a makeshift design-studio, set up by Thomas Adam and Stephan Ziege. Both were professional designers when they founded their “First Porcelain Manufacture of Mark Brandenburg”.  Thomas Adam  studied at the University of Art and Design “Burg Giebichenstein” in Halle; Stephan Ziege at the Academy of Art “Weissensee” in Berlin, Germany. Early in their careers, they both worked for well-known companies such as Meissen, but they soon made a name  for themselves with their witty salt & pepper shakers and characterised table accessories. They understand their business from “A” (as in Adam) to “Z” (as in Ziege). In 2004 Adam & Ziege began designing for Goebel. Stefan Ziege and Thomas Adam take everyday objects and turn them into small works of art. Along with salt and pepper, these figurines sprinkle an intense and positive attitude towards life. Cute and cuddly, these cheeky buddies are popping up everywhere!
